Program Details

"Developing a Dad" Training

We will study Quenching the Father Thirst.* Training includes:

  • The Father Thirst Epidemic
  • What About the Children?
  • It Takes a Man to be a Dad
  • My Challenges as Dad
  • My Father and Past History
  • My Mother and Women Relationships
  • The Father-Mother Partnership
  • Commitment to Physical Development
  • Sharing Emotional Encouragement
  • Communicating to Connect
  • Involving in Social Modeling
  • Consistent Moral Training
  • Making a Life Change

*approved by the Colorado Dept. of Human Services

Life Skill Trailing
After the Quenching the Father Thirst training, we will offer additional training on:
  • Dating your wife
  • Dealing with emotions / anger management
  • Money management and budgeting
  • Enjoying your work
  • Finding balance between work and home
  • Diet and nutrition
  • Drugs, alcohol and children
  • Smoking at home

Bonuses / Incentives

Clients receive bonuses in cash/gift cards with ongoing participation in the program:

  • Initial intake and assessment
  • "Developing a Dad" training
  • Life skills training
  • Graduate from program
Childcare & Transportation
Childcare and transportation (as needed) are provided for all training sessions!
Mentoring
Meet with your own personal mentor one-on-one for lunch or dinner every other week. Your mentor will meet with you to review any questions you may have from the previous class, to listen, to offer general input on lifeÕs challenges and to help begin setting goals for the future. Your own personal life-coach!
Food

Dinner will be provided during the training sessions and mentor lunches. Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch?!

Fun

Once every 2-3 months we will have a Dad's Club Activity for all participants.
Possible activities:

  • Camping / fishing
  • Rockies game or other sporting event
  • Rent out a rec. center for a sports tournament

If there is enough interest, we may also create our own team to compete in the City of Greeley basketball, racquetball, dodgeball, or softball leagues.
